Balance for better

On 8 March 2018, we celebrate International Women’s Day, honouring the effort to build a more inclusive and equal world.

As a humanistic company, we believe that gender equality is good for our co-workers and our customers. We believe everyone has the right to be treated fairly and be given equal opportunities. We work together to close the gender gap and other inequalities. When we have the same opportunities to grow, regardless of gender or background, everyone wins. Balance for better.

We take a stand for human rights

At IKEA we stand for fair treatment, equal opportunities and our co-workers’ right to be themselves. As a means of supporting human rights and equality, IKEA Group has endorsed and contributed to the UN Standards of Conduct for Business on Tackling Discrimination against LGBT+ people that was launched globally September 2017.

Thank you, all great co-workers!

It’s the joint efforts of all our co-workers around the world that make IKEA what it is. The loyalty program Tack! is our way of saying thank you – for a job well done and for the contribution to our success now and in the future.

We’re leading the way on more sustainable cotton!

Great news! For the second year, IKEA has received the highest score for sustainability performance in the latest Sustainable Cotton Report - of 75 multinational companies evaluated.
“This ranking shows that we are well on our way, even if we all have to do more to transform the cotton and textile industry”, says Lena Pripp-Kovac, Sustainability Manager at IKEA Range and Supply.

Designed by kids to help other kids, the cute, cuddly SAGOSKATT soft toy collection is back. This family of funny friends is the definition of play with a purpose: the full purchase price of each SAGOSKATT soft toy is donated to local charities in order to support every child's right to play and to develop.
